108 Hakki Pikki tribes caught in Sudan Civil war; district administration sets up helpline
1 min readMysuru: As the Civil War rages through Sudan, as many as 108 members of Hakki Pikki tribe are caught with no help. Efforts are on to bring them safe back to the country. In this regard, the Mysuru district administration has set up helpline number 0821-2423800, 1077 and family members can share the telephone number and passport details of their distressed kin with the disaster management team.
Majority of the tribes belong to Pakshirajapura and Shankarapura of Hunsur taluk in Mysuru district and also from Tiger Block hamlet in Chamarajanagar district.
They sell traditional medicines to African countries as part of their traditional business trip. But however this time they are caught in the Civil War.
