27th annual convocation of SDMIMD! 180 students receive PGDM certificates, seven secure gold medals
2 min readMysuru: Seven students were awarded gold medals at the 27th annual convocation of Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Institute for Management Development (SDMIMD) on Thursday.
In all 180 students of one year PG Diploma in Management (PGDM) of 2020-2022 batch were awarded certificates during the convocation.
Chairman’s distinguished student gold medal for best academic performance was given to Sanjana Vijay Kumar.
Ankur Guptha Memorial Alumni Gold medal for excellent performance in Finance went to Aniruddha Hande H.
Suman Narayan Memorial Alumni Gold medal for Excellent performance in Human Resource Management was awarded jointly to Sanjana Vijaykumar and Seethalakshmi Sathish Hegde.
Gold medal for Excellent performance in Marketing was awarded to Yash Sharma Mukund.
Gold medal for excellent performance in Operations was handed to Sudeep S Rao.
Gold medal for excellent performance in Systems was Jointly awarded to Sudeep S Rao and Abinaya M.
Ankur Gupta Memorial gold medal for best Overall performance was secured by Prakruthi Vivekananda.
SDMIMD chairman and Dharmasthala Dharmadhikari Dr D Veerendra Heggade distributed the medals and certificates.
In her address chief guest of the Convocation Pankajam Sridevi , Managing director, Commonwealth Bank of Australia termed “teachers as the best inspiring personalities. Hardwork is the common force behind every successful person”.
“Cleverness is a gift but kindness is a choice. The kindness is more important towards the upliftment of society than knowledge. Kindness is more essential in this era”, underlined Sridevi.
SDMIMD chairman Dr D Veerendra Heggade said “Society is changing with women also getting equal importance. Women are taking jobs and courses in large numbers. In our institutions alone women enrollment is surging and in the next 10 years, a situation may emerge that we will have to reserve seats for boys”.
SDMIMD Director Dr N R Parasuraman explained about the achievements and collaborations with various national and international educational and management institutions.
“SDMIMD faculties and students directly participated in various projects like Human Capital index project and Unnath Bharath Abhiyan. We are also coordinating with Abdul Nazeer Sab State Institute for Rural Development (ANSSIRD) and Administrative Training Institute (ATI) for various socio-academic activities”, Dr Parasuraman said.
Dr S N Prasad, M V Sunil, Dr Prasanna Chandra, Nagaraj Ijari, D Surendra Kumar, Dr Bhimaraya and Dr R Indira were present during the convocation.
