86.3 kg of ganja seized from Kerala bound vehicle, four held

Mysuru: Personnel attached to cyber crime, economic offences and narcotics ( CEN) police wing have seized 86.3 kg of ganja and arrested four from Kerala state.
The drug was being transported in a goods vehicle from Andhra Pradesh to Kerala via Mysuru- Nanjangud main road, when the policemen got a wind, on Monday.
A police team led by CEN Inspector Raghu K R succeeded in intercepting the vehicle near the Mysuru Airport at Mandakalli at around 5.30 PM.
The arrested persons are identified as Mohammed Shafi, 42 of Mallapuram, Saleem, 30, Mallapuram, Shafi, 28, driver from Wayanad and Ibrahim Kutti, 32, Mallapuram.
They are booked under Section 20 (b) of NDPS Act 1985. The vehicle is also seized.
The police team included Head Constables K Manjunath and M S Manjunath, constables Rangaswamy, Mohamed Asad and Govindaraju and driver Nagaraju.
