Kempegowda Jayanthi witnesses empty seats as Corona spreads tentacles
1 min readMysuru: As the Covid-19 pandemic looms large and restrictions on social gathering, most of the jayanthis will now witness less or no crowd.
This was evident in the Kempegowda Jayanthi that was celebrated here on Saturday. Except for the officials there were no other audience.
The Kannada and Culture Department and Kempegowda Jayanthothsava Samithi had jointly organised Nadaprabhu Kempegowda birth anniversary at Karnataka Kalamandira. The programme witnessed MLAs GT Devegowda and L Nagendra, MP Pratap Simha and ADC Poornima in attendance.
The guests recalled Nadaprabhu Kempegowda’s contribution to the development of Bengaluru.
Unlike every year, where such programmes had huge crowd as audience, this year it was only empty seats. This may continue as long as the Covid-19 is kicked out.
