Mysuru: Suttur seer sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji on Monday attributed the spurt in Covid-19 cases in rural parts to the urban dwellers who returned to their villages.
Speaking to media persons at JSS Hospital, the Swamiji said ” the virus that was earlier restricted to big cities like Bengaluru, Mumbai and New Delhi, spread to villages, as the residents of such cities went back to villages. If they were in the cities itself, they can be provided treatment at the early stage.”
Stressing on the significance of following safety norms like- wearing mask, maintaining social distance and and applying hand sanitiser, the Swamiji said “No hospitals can guarantee 100 per cent health, except for providing treatment. Hence, people should be more cautious.”
