Kolada mutt seer Sri Shantaveera Swamiji attains heavenly abode

Bengaluru: Kolada Mutt Seer Sri Shantaveera Swamiji (80) passed away on Saturday.
The seer who went to sleep last night didn’t open the door of his room on Saturday morning.
Upon receiving the information Swamiji’s nephew Harsha rushed to the Mutt and opened the door of the room with the help of Venkatappa the seer’s assistant at the Mutt for 43 years.
After rushing the seer to the hospital, the doctors confirmed the death citing heart attack.
According to Harsha the seer had no health issues and had even taken part in a programme on Friday.
The last rites will be conducted on the premises of the Mutt as per Veerashaiva- Lingayat tradition at around 7 pm.
The seer is survived by a large number of devotees that includes Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, former Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa and a host of leaders.
