Engineering graduates should develop entrepreneurial skills: Sudhanva

Mysuru: ATME College of Engineering, Bannur road Mysuru celebrated Teacher’s Day and Engineer’s Day-2022 at the college auditorium.

Sudhanva Founder & CEO of Excel Soft Technologies Pvt.Ltd, Mysuru who was the chief guest inaugurated by lighting the lamp.

The Management of ATME felicitated Sudhanva, with “ENGINEER PAR EXCELLENCE” award for his remarkable contribution to the society in the field of Engineering and Industry.

Addressing the gathering Sudhanva asserted that “Faculty can implement effective teaching methodologies to the students with the help of modern technologies in accordance with the changing environment”.

Further, he informed that, they should not feel that getting an engineering degree is just to get a job, instead focus on creating enough job opportunities as entrepreneurs themselves. In this background the Government has implemented many schemes, he added.

On the occasion Dr Kirankumar (Dept of Chemistry) Prof Shreeshayana (Dept.of E & E) and Prof Raghuram (Dept.of CSE) was honoured with “BEST TEACHER AWARD” for their outstanding service in the field of education and other co-curricular activities.

Non-Teaching staff Rajeeva and Nadeesha K N were also awarded “BEST SUPPORTIVE STAFF” for their outstanding service to the institution.

DrNasreen Fathima, Dr Anuradha, Dr Ravichandran, Dr Bhagya P, Dr syeda Ummera, Dr Ramamurthy and Dr Rajeswari were felicitated for obtaining Doctoral Degrees (PhD) in their respective field of specialization.

L Arun kumar Chairman ATME College of Engineering during his presidential remarks expressed that “Teaching is a noble service to the mankind and should not be viewed as a profession and he further opined that teacher plays a vital role in moulding the society. Any awards increase the responsibility on them, teachers have a major responsibility to impart technical skill & education according to the changing to the technology especially as per the expectation of students, teachers should continuously develop their skills accordingly”.

Dr Shakeeb-Ur-Rahman Executive Council Member, VTU Belagavi expressed his best wishes for the Teacher’s and Engineers.

K Shivashankar Secretary, R Veeresh Treasurer, and Venkatesh Trustee, Dr L Basavaraj, Principal, Dr M S Govinde Gowda, Dean Academics, Dr Bhagya Shree, Dean research, Dr Yathisha L, Dean Student Affairs, Dr Sachidananda Administrative officer, HODs of various departments, faculties and staff were present for the event.

Basavaraj explained the criteria and rules for the selection of Best Teacher, Best Technical & Supporting staff Award.

Chitrashree welcomed the gathering, Keerthana compered the event, Shivali rendered invocation and Sampreeth proposed vote of thanks.
