Adopt technology in today’s education: Dr G L Shekhar
1 min readMysuru: Retired principal of National Institute of Engineering (NIE) College, Dr G L Shekhar said, a country’s progress is written in classrooms. The teachers are essential for the progress of an individual or a country. A teacher can bring about improvement in the society by imparting education. No one can steal the wealth of knowledge from anyone.
He was the chief guest at the Teacher’s Day celebration organised at Vanita Sadana School by Rotary Ivory City Mysuru.
Shekar asserted that, there is a need to adopt technology in education in today’s era. A man without education is like a ship without a compass.
On the same occasion, the teachers and teachers of Mysuru and surrounding schools were felicitated and honoured.
C Ramamani of People’s Park School, B Triveni of Vanitha Sadana School, G Ravikumar of KPS School, N Bhimesh of Madapura Government High School, K V Pushpalatha of Hardwicke High School, Retired Teacher Dr B Nirmala, Sathya Sai Baba School’s G N Kavya and S Geeta of ACME School were felicitated and honoured.
Rotary Ivory City Mysuru President Rotarian K Sashidhar presided over the meeting.
