Appu Amara! Fans throng Kanteerava Stadium to pay their last respects

Bengaluru: “Appu Amara” “Appu Amara” slogans reverberated through Kanteerava Stadium as the fans of actor Puneeth Rajkumar thronged to pay their last respects to their favourite actor.
Puneeth popularly known as “Power star” in Sandalwood passed away due to severe cardiac arrest in the day.
After keeping the mortal remains of the actor at his Sadashivanagar bungalow for sometime, the body was shifted to Kanteerava Stadium for public viewing, in an ambulance, later in the evening.
Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai who paid his last respects at the stadium, also stayed put in the place supervising the arrangements.
Bommai said “the last rites of Puneeth Rajkumar will be performed with state honours on Sunday morning at Kanteerava studio beside the tomb of Dr Rajkumar under the ambit of Dr Rajkumar Prathistan”.
The chief minister also appealed to the fans of Puneeth to maintain calm.
