1 min readMysuru: As a part of iconic Chamundi Hill road continues to cave in, experts from Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru visited the spot recently. They will be visiting again and a report is expected by next week to draw permanent solutions.
On Wednesday Chamundi Hill road was found damaged again, measuring more than 120 metres on the spot. As a precaution, the road is closed for traffic from view point junction to monolithic Nandi statue.
Following heavy downpour on October 20, a part of the retaining wall of a small bridge had collapsed.
After the incident, PWD Mysuru consulted Indian Institute of Science experts team for a visit. They will be visiting the spot again next week and submit report.
AEE of PWD G Raju told Mysoorunews.com “the temporary solutions won’t work and we are mulling over finding permanent solutions with IISC report for safety.”
