As Junior ‘Salaga’, Mysurean Sridhar attracts cine buffs on big screen

Mysuru: Salaga the latest release of actor Duniya Vijay has set the cash registers ringing for the producer. It’s also the debut film of Vijay as a director, that has infused hopes in the industry badly hit by pandemic situation.
Along with that, the film has a Mysuru link that is appreciated by many including the likes of actor Shivarajkumar.
Actor Sridhar who has played the role of Junior Salaga (Vijay) in his younger days in the flick is a Mysurean. It’s his second outing with Vijay after ‘Veerabahu’ released a decade ago.
Sridhar a resident of Yelwal who exclusively spoke to www.mysoorunews.com recalled his journey from theatre to big screen.
Sridhar’s passion towards acting made him hone his skills with popular theatre troupes like GPIER of Mime Ramesh, Natana of Mandya Ramesh and many other troupes. Naveen Sneha Creations also provided him a platform to act in short movies.
“Siri” a play directed by Mime Ramesh was popular and the artiste in Sridhar got notice. He later joined Hulagappa Kattimani’s theatre troupe and performed at various jails in the State.
Shridhar debuted in Sandalwood in 2010 with S Mahendar directorial “Veerabaahu” with actor Duniya Vijay. Vijay who was in awe of Sridhar’s acting skills had promised to give him a chance in his movie. Hence when Vijay was searching for an actor for his directorial Salaga, he ended up with Sridhar.
Sridhar has played a major role in the movie with songs, romantic scenes, sentimental scenes and action sequences to his credit like a seasoned actor.
Sridhar profusely thanks Vijay for giving an opportunity.
After watching the movie, Shivarajkumar appreciated Sridhar’s role.
With the success of Salaga, Sridhar is looking for many more opportunities to prove his talent.
All he needs is constant support and encouragement from cine lovers, especially Mysureans.
