Bharat Bandh! Many organisations undecided over support, farmers plan road block on highways
1 min readMysuru: On the eve of Bharat Bandh call by various farmer organisations on Monday (September 27), many organisations are split over extending support to the bandh.
Various farm organisations mainly Karnataka Rajya Raita Sangha, Hasiru Sene and State Sugarcane Growers Association have given for the bandh call in support of Samyukta Kisan Morcha against the three Farm Laws of the Centre.
In Mysuru also the situation is not different with various associations including commercial segments dithering over supporting the bandh call, with Covid-19 crises slapping heavy losses till recently.
Hotel Owners Association, Mysuru has already announced only moral support, keeping their businesses open to make up for the losses suffered in the last one year. Similarly other organisations are in a dilemma.
Public transport operators also have extended their moral support, while there is no hint of cab aggregators.
While KSRTC has decided to run buses as usual. Schools and colleges have also decided to remain open.
However, farmers who have decided to make it a success, are learnt to have planned to stage a road block on various highways across the State.
On Mysuru- Bengaluru road alone, the farmers have decided to do rasta roko near Mandya and Bidadi.
