Bharat Cancer Hospital! 30 years and still going strong
2 min readMysuru: Bharath Cancer Hospital the city’s prominent health care center which had to struggle in its initial stages has now achieved more in the realm of cancer treatment and prevention of chronical disease.
Health Care Global (HCG) foundation chairman and veteran oncologist Dr Ajay Kumar who shared the journey, that has completed 30 years, with media, recalled how the once far away located hospital became closer to people’s heart.
Initially people were hesitating to visit our hospital, while today awareness about the disease has built confidence among cancer victims in Mysuru and surrounding districts who look for treatment here, he said.
Here we are the first to introduce many technologies to detect cancer and treatment. Medical advancement is now reachinv people and precision medication is our advancement. In our Bengaluru center there are 40 scientists pursuing PhD and they are working for improved health care. Precision health care avoids the side effects of the cancer, he claimed.
Dr Ajay Kumar said in this region women are mostly affected by cancer due to ignorance of hygiene and change in life style habits especially in rural areas. We through our NGO and volunteers are spreading awareness massively and educated people and distributed sanitary pads. Better education on health transforms the society and it is a good sign for our continuous efforts, Dr Ajay Kumar mentioned.
Dr Ajay Kumar told Mysoorunews.com in thirty years journey we faced a lot of challenges at administrative level and health care. We transformed normal medication to precision care. In Undia government fund to health care is very minimal when compared to foreign countries. Recently we spoje with union finance minister Nirmala Sitaraman also. Ayushman Bharath health scheme of the central government needs to improve to benefit all the people irrespective of status, he claimed.
Ajaykumar recently wrote a book “xcellence Has No Borders” and it says complete our journey towards health care improvement.
