‘Bisi Oota’ Scheme in Karnataka will be named after Sri Shivakumara Swamiji: CM Basavaraj Bommai

Tumakuru: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Friday announced that Bisi Oota scheme in Karnataka will be named after Sri Shivakumara Swamiji.

Bommai who shared his intent, promised to issue a government order in this regard, while taking part in 115th birth anniversary celebration of Sri Shivakumara Swamiji.

Earlier BJP State Vice-president B Y Vijayendra demanded the authorities to name Bisi Oota scheme in the State after late pontiff of Sri Siddaganga Mutt Sri Shivakumara Swamiji. 

Vijayendra who is the chairman of reception committee of Sri Shivakumara Swamiji’s 115th Jayantotsava, raised the pitch to name the scheme after the reverred seer considering his enormous service in the field of education and dasoha (feeding).

Bisi Oota is a scheme of providing midday meals to the students at government schools and aided schools.
