By-elections! BJP continues to maintain lead in Sindhagi, Congress in Hanagal

Bengaluru: After several rounds of counting of votes for the byelections to Sindhagi and Hanagal Assembly constituencies, it seems to be a mixed bag for ruling BJP.
While BJP candidate Ramesh Bhusanur continues to lead in Sindhagi, it’s Congress’ Srinivas Mane in Hanagal.
Bhusanur has polled 54,407 votes so far against Ashok Managuli of Congress who has got 34,688 votes. Naziya Angadi of JDS has received 2333 votes.
While at Hanagal, Srinivas Mane of Congress has polled 31,620 votes,
Shivaraj Sajjanar of BJP 29,368 votes and
Niyaz Shaikh of JDS- 314 votes.
With still several rounds of counting left, a clear picture is expected to emerge after sometime.
