Chamarajanagara University signs MoU with Karnataka State Council For Science and Technology
1 min readChamarajanagar: Chamarajanagara University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Karnataka State Council For Science and Technology (KSCST), to promote innovation and research activities.
The MoU signing ceremony took place at the Nijaguna Auditorium, Suvarna Gangothri campus, with the Vice-Chancellor Prof M R Gangadhar, representing the university.
During his address, Prof Gangadhar emphasised that the University Grants Commission (UGC) has mandated the establishment of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Cells in all universities. Such initiatives would significantly enhance science, technology and research activities, enabling the students and researchers to secure rights for their works.
UT Vijay, Executive Secretary of KSCST, stated, “Our institute has been empowering Karnataka through science and technology for the past 49 years, leveraging these fields to enrich the State’s geographical assets. The MoU will not only facilitate securing copyrights, but also help organise lectures on intellectual property rights.”
The event also featured talks on intellectual property rights by Dr Sarasija Padmanaban, Dr Nandini, and Dr Prajanya.
Dr V G Siddaraju, Director of PMEB, IQC Convener Hajira Nasrin and faculty members Karthik, Divya and Kamila Tabassum were present.
