Chess Showdown 2024: 10 visually challenged students among 270 participants

Mysuru: Inter School Chess competition “Chess Showdown 2024” organised by Rotary Mysore Children’s Library (RMCL) was inaugurated by First Grand master of Karnataka M S Thej Kumar, at Phoenix International Academy, KRS Road, Mysuru on Sunday.
The event was supported by Mysore Chess Center. Around 270 students from the age of 4 years to 16 years representing 15-20 schools participated in the event.
As many as 10 visually challenged students from Rangarao Memorial School For Disabled also participated in the event.
Guest of Honour Rtn. K N Suhas – Secretary Rotary Mysore, Rtn. Mubeen Sait President RMCL, Rtn. Ponnanna – Secretary RMCL & Rtn. Nagendra of Mysore Chess Center were present.
