Chief Minister Siddaramaiah attends Vijayadashami puja at Suttur Mutt
1 min readMysuru: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah visited Suttur Mutt at the foothills of Chamundi in the city and took part in the Vijayadashami Puja, led by Suttur Mutt Seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji, on Saturday.
During the visit, CM Siddaramaiah received blessings from the Seer.
CM Siddaramaiah later remarked that, Dasara symbolises the victory of good over evil, with Vijayadashami marking the conclusion of the festival. He also highlighted the world famous “Jamboo Savari” of Goddess Chamundeshwari, noting that this was his seventh time as CM that he is participating in the Jamboo Savari celebration.
On this auspicious occasion of Vijayadashami, CM Siddaramaiah wished Happy Dasara to the people.
He expressed his gratitude for the ample rainfall that had filled the dams this year and prayed for wisdom and peace among those seeking to disrupt societal harmony.
District In-charge Minister Dr H C Mahadevappa, Animal Husbandry Minister K Venkatesh, Women and Child Welfare Minister Laxmi Hebbalkar, Chamarajanagar MP Sunil Bose, MLA D Ravishankar, MLC K Govindaraj, Political Secretary to the CM and others were present.
