Cooperation minister S T Somashekar invites Amit Shah for convention in Karnataka

New Delhi: Karnataka Cooperation Minister S T Somashekar on Saturday invited Home Minister Amit Shah for the State-level convention of cooperation planned either in November or December.

Amit Shah is also the minister of newly created Cooperation Ministry at the centre.

Somashekar who called on Amit Shah at his official residence on Krishna Menon road, explained the latter about the convention planned under the title “Sahakar Se Samruddhi’. It is aimed at strengthening the cooperative sector and giving a new direction.

Somashekar on the occassion also requested to sanction Rs five crore for the modernisation of Cooperation department and giving new directions to the department.

Amit Shah responded positively for the demand.

Cooperatives Krishna Reddy, Ramesh Vaidya, Mandya District Cooperative Bank Chairman C P Umesh, special officer to Cooperation minister Dinesh Gooligowda were present.
