Counting begins in Mysuru
1 min readMysuru: In a few minutes, fate of 224 candidates of Karnataka Assembly will be decided as counting of votes will be taken up at across the State at 8 am. Security measures are in place at the counting centres including in Mysuru where elections were fierecly ineleven constituencies.
In Mysuru, counting of votes of Varuna, Chamundeshwari, Periyapattna, Hunsur, KR Nagar, HD Kote, Nanjangud, T.Narasipura, Narasimharaja, Chamaraja, and Krishnaraja constituencies
will be taken up at aharani’s Women’s College’s three floors.
A total of 750 staff have been deployed for counting, and the first count will be for the 15,000 postal ballots. The Mysuru City Police have imposed Section 144 within a radius of 200 meters of Maharanis college, and the entire process is being monitored by Mysuru Deputy Commissioner Dr KV Rajendra and other top officials.
