Covid-19: Big relief as IGP, SP test negative

Mysuru: In a big relief to the district police force, IGP ( Southern range) S Vipul Kumar and SP CB Ryshyanth have tested negative for Covid-19.
These two officers had quarantined themselves after a constable – with whom they were in contact – tested positive in Nanjangud, early this week.
This had sent shockwaves among the police force as more and more police personnel are infected by the virus. The police were among the front line warriors to fight the spread of the Coronavirus and such reports could have an adverse impact on their morale.
However, with these two top police officers testing negative for the virus, the district police personnel are relieved a bit.
