Covid-19: Preventive measures in place for SSLC exam, masks a must
1 min readMysuru: In view of the Covid-19 pandemic that’s still spreading it’s tentacles, the Education department has decided to allow only 18 students in a room to write SSLC exam as against 24 students to ensure social distancing.
Primary and Secondary Education Minister S Suresh Kumar told media here on Friday that across the state SSLC exam will be held from June 25. As many as 8.48 lakh students will appear for the exam.
In Mysuru alone, 21,000 students are taking exam. As a precautionary measure, students will be provided masks.
Minister informed that Scouts and Guides will provide 42,000 masks and each student will get two masks, he added.
Across the state, 4,000 exam halls have been dedicated for the exam and they will be equipped with sanitisers.
Migrant workers children are able to attend exam at nearby centre. Those who are unable to attend, will be considered as freshers in supplementary exam, he said.
