Covid19 scare! Holiday for Pre-KG to UKG schools in Bengaluru

Bengaluru: Following the recommendation of health and family welfare department, Primary and Secondary Education Minister S Suresh Kumar has declared holiday for pre- KG to UKG schools till further orders in Bengaluru north, south and rural areas.
This follows the fear of fast spreading Novel Coronavirus ( Covid19) in other parts of the city, with neighbouring states like Kerala, Telangana and Tamil Nadu reporting positive cases.
According to an email received from Pankaj Kumar Pandey the Commissioner of Health and Family Welfare Department, which the minister has shared on his Twitter handle “The Commissioner has underlined that to prevent the transmission of novel coronavirus within the community, take steps for the closure of pre- KG, LKG and UKG schools in BBMP and Bangalore urban areas with immediate effect and till further orders”.
