CPM gen secy Sitaram Yechury’s son, scribe Ashish dies of Covid-19

New Delhi: Ashish Yechury, 34, the eldest son of CPI (M) general secretary Sitaram Yechury died of Covid-19 at a hospital here on Thursday.
Ashish was undergoing treatment at Medanta Hospital in Gurgaon, where he passed away at 5.30 am. Sitaram Yechury himself disclosed the news on his twitter handle, with profound grief, thanking all who stood by the family in difficult times.
Ashish who was a senior copy editor with a leading newspaper in Delhi was previously admitted at Holy Family Hospital, before he was shifted to Medanta.
In the last 24 hours, Delhi alone has reported 24,638 fresh cases and 249 deaths.
