‘Cut in fuel prices, eyewashing tactics of BJP’
1 min readMysuru: A day after central government announced a cut in petrol and diesel prices, Congress spokesperson M Lakshmana chided the move as an eye washing tactics of BJP.
Lakshman told media on Thursday, “After suffering a severe drubbing in the recent byelections, BJP understood the impact of price hike as the mandate issue against the government. BJP is playing another game in view of the upcoming Assembly elections.”
Across the country byelection results show anti-BJP wave. Now, BJP has developed a cold feet about the next elections. In this wake, the government slashed the fuel prices a bit, said Lakshmana.
Similarly Karnataka Rajya Raita Sangha (KRRS) President Badagalapura Nagendra said ” the hike in fuel prices had badly impacted agriculture sector. Union government has now reduced the prices which won’t benefit the public. It is only after the dismal show in byelections the party has resorted towards farmers welfare, Nagendra added.
