Dial 112! Mysuru district police create awareness at Seshadripuram Degree College

Mysuru: To empower and motivate students, Seshadripuram Degree College, Mysuru in association with IQAC and Anti-Ragging Cell had organized a seminar on ” ONE NATION, ONE EMERGENCY NUMBER, AWARENESS PROGRAMME REGARDING DAIL 112″ on Monday.
Mahesh V ex-serviceman and Police Sub- Inspector, Mysuru Police District Control Room was the resource person and the key speaker of the Seminar.
He spoke at length about the importance of single emergency number Dial 112 and the significant role of the government and the public for the maximum utilization of the emergency service.
He emphasized on various social problems and nuisances like Fraud, Cyber Crimes, Social Media Disadvantages, Hacking, Family Conflicts, Fire Accidents, Suicide Attempts, Traffic Offences, Fake Jobs and Money laundering faced by the common man in their daily lives. He praised the advantages of Dial 112 helpline by narrating success stories, based on the real life incidents, signifying the unifying idea ‘One Nation-One Emergency Number’.
He concluded by giving guidance to students regarding the usage of Dial 112 Helpline, KSP App, Demo on Instagram and Facebook Pages and he generously shared his personal mobile number with students in order to motivate, guide and provide them further assistance for the welfare of the society.
Principal Prof Sowmya Erappa K, Seshadripuram Degree College, Chaitra V, Department of commerce, Kishore A P, Convener, Anti Ragging Cell, students and other teaching and non-teaching staff were present.
