Elderly woman murdered; gold worth Rs 1.5 lakh stolen

Nagamangala: An elderly woman was murdered and her 70 grams of jewellery worth Rs 1.5 lakh has been stolen at her house in Kari Kyatanahalli here on Monday.
The deceased had been identified as Jayamma (70).
It is said that miscreants broke open the door to get into the house. They beat Jayamma from a stick and decamped with more than 75 grams of gold.
DySP Vishwanath, Rural SI Ramachandra, visited the spot and registered a case. They have launched a manhunt to nab the accused.
