The birth anniversary of Sarvepalli S Radhakrishnan that is is celebrated as Teacher’s Day every year on September 5, is very much significant to Mysureans.
Radhakrishnan was the professor of Philosophy at the University of Mysore for a brief period of three years from 1918 to 1921, before he became the first Vice- President of India.
Yaduveer has shared the photographs of Radhakrishnan along with his grandfather late Maharaja of Mysore Jaya Chamaraja Wadiyar, on his social media account, to convey his Teacher’s Day wishes to the people.
Interestingly Jaya Chamaraja Wadiyar also had a deep interest in philosophy, the subject which Radhakrishnan had taught at the university.
