Forest watcher dies in wild jumbo attack at Bandipur
1 min readMysuru: In a wild elephant strike, a forest watcher collapsed and died at Bandipur forest in H D Kote taluk on Sunday.
Forest watchers were on duty at forest fringes when a pachyderm attacked them. The watchers tried to escape, but 56-year-old Hanumantaiah collapsed and met his tragic end.
HD Kote taluk Nanjaiah colony resident Hanumantaiah along with fellow watchers tried to drive back the elephant, when the disturbed elephant striked back, it is learnt.
H D Kote police have registered a case.
