Forthcoming TP, ZP elections! AAP to contest all seats in Karnataka

Mysuru: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) which is growing rapidly in national politics, is fast tracking its organization building efforts in Karnataka.
A team from Delhi, led by Karnataka In-charge Romi Bhati, visited Mysuru District to nominate office bearers for district team and hold discussions with team members and aspirants for forthcoming TP/ZP elections.
Speaking at a press meet Bhati said that “under the leadership of Arvind Kejriwal, in just six years Delhi Government has brought fundamental changes in governance and delivery of public services. People impressed by this and the anti-corruption attitude of the party, have expressed their interest in joining hands and hence he is touring the districts.”
Party State Vice-President Vijay Sharma explained the organization building efforts in various districts.
District Convener Malavika Gubbivani, paying her tributes to the architect of Mysuru Nalvadi Krishnaraja Wodeyar on his death anniversary, explained the party unit’s vision for Mysuru and the importance of role of citizens in realizing this vision.
She also spoke about activities she has undertaken locally so far, including the efforts to save NTM Kannada School.
Clarifying on hearsay about only rich people being given prominence in party, State Joint Secretary Darshan Jain said that “it is just hearsay and the only yardstick AAP follows is that the people joining us should not be corrupt, criminal, casteist or communal and party does not look at bank balances.”
Party district media convener G R Vidyaranya introduced the visiting dignitaries.
Later speaking to party workers and TP/ZP seat aspirants Bhati exhorted them to strengthen the organization from grass roots.
Party volunteers Renuka Prasad, Shivakumar, Ismail, Musheer, Shivu, Naveed, Abdul Razak and others were present.
