Fourth convocation of JSS Science and Technology University on May 2

Mysuru: The fourth convocation ceremony of JSS Science and Technology University is scheduled to be held on May 2 at 10.30 AM at its campus.
Incharge Vice Chancellor Prof A N Santhosh Kumar addressed media persons on Thursday and said ” a total of
997 BE graduates, 28 BCA, 199 MTech, 57 MCA, 33 MSc, 200 MBA graduates and five PhD candidates are now eligible for the award of the degrees, having duly completed all the requirements for the award of the said degrees as per regulations”.
Besides, 53 Medals will be awarded to the students, out of which 33 medals are for the students who have scored highest marks in respective branches and 20 Endowment Medals will also be awarded.
Degree and medals for the achievers of all the branches will be conferred by Suttur Seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji, Chancellor, JSS Science and Technology University.
Prof Anil D Sahasrabhudhe, Chairman, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Govt of India will be the Chief Guest and will deliver the convocation address.
JSS University 2021-22 academic year students got placed in 358 various prestigious companies and 90 per cent placements are done. Highest package of Rs 44 lakh per annum and average Rs.14 lakh per annum were bagged by successful candidates.
University is planning to start a high-tech Multimedia resource center for audio and video lectures production to provide students and it helps them to learn any time and anywhere.
It is also on the anvil to introduce MSc programmes for working professionals., VC Santhosh Kumar added.
JSS Science and Technology University (JSS STU) is a culmination of six decades of dedicated perseverance in the field of technical education steered by the philosophy of JSS Mahavidyapeetha to transform lives through “education for all”.
JSS STU is established by JSS Mahavidyapeetha as a philanthropic gift to the society by a lineage of pontiffs who believed in uplifting the society by eradicating poverty through education for all.
“JSS Science and Technology University is established as a unitary University duly notified by the Govt. of Karnataka as a University through its notification dated 16.01.2016 as per the JSS Science and Technology University Act No. 43 of 2013 having its registered office in the Royal city of Mysuru and Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering (SJCE) which was established in 1963 is now a part of it as the constituent college.
The University has 102 Acres of sprawling lush green campus with the necessary infrastructure.
It offers 14 undergraduate programs, 25 Postgraduate programs, and Doctoral programs in all disciplines.
Around 6,000 students pursue their careers on this campus. JSS S&T University envisions to create a bright future and a desired learner-centric eco-system and transform into a futuristic global university.
The members of the Board of Governors, Board of Management, and Academic Council will be participating in the convocation.
Dr C G Betsurmath, Executive Secretary, JSS Mahavidyapeetha will administer the oath to degree holders.
Prof M H Dhananjaya, Advisor, Technical Education Division will preside during the convocation.
