Golden throne for Mysuru Maharaja’s Private Durbar to be assembled on September 27

Mysuru: The golden throne for the private durbar of Maharaja (titular) of Mysore will be assembled on September 27.

The religious rituals in connection with Sharannavarathri/ assembling the Golden Throne will be conducted between 10 am and 1 pm on September 27. There will be no entry to Palace, for visitors at that time, according to Deputy Commissioner G Lakshmikanth Reddy, also the Executive Officer of Mysuru Palace Board.

The private durbar of the Maharaja will be conducted on October 3, during which the Maharaja will be ascending the throne. The entry to Palace is restricted from 10 am to 2 pm.

On account of Ayudha Puja on October 11 and Vijayadashami on October 12, there will be no entry to the Palace full day.

On October 27, there will be no entry to Palace from 10 am to 1 pm, due to dissembling of the throne and keeping it back in the throne room.
