Gruha Jyothi: Consumers left high and dry as server runs slow on day One
1 min readMysuru: The Seva Sinhdu portal server that was to recieve applications for Gruha Jyothi scheme – on Sunday – experienced heavy load and almost crashed leaving many applicants high and dry. Following the government’s announcement that the applications for Gruha Jyothi scheme would be recieved from June 18, hundreds had queued up at the internet centres here to apply for the scheme. Under the scheme, consumers will get free power supply up to 200 units. Gruha Jyothi is one of the five guarantees of the Congress that it had made before the election.
Hundreds who stood in waiting to apply on the Seva Sindhu portal were left disappointed after the server almost crashed and the whole process became very slow. Since it was Sunday, many had turned up to avail the facility but they were disappointed.
Meanwhile, applications will be received at the offices affiliated to the CESC and they were working even on Sundays as well. Some of the consumers were seen rushing to these offices after the portal became very slow.
