GSSSIETW students project wins ‘best project’ award by KSCST

Mysuru: A project titled “Speech Recognition Using Robotic Vehicle with Regional Language” of GSSSIETW is awarded as best project in the Karnataka State Council for Science and Technology (KSCST) student project program for the academic year 2019-20.
The project was carried out by Pooja M, under the guidance of Dr Padmashree S, Professor, Department of ECE.
The Management of GSSS(R),Vanaja B Pandit, Hon. Secretary, GSSS(R), R K Bharath, CEO and Management Committee Member, GSSS(R), Anupama B Pandit, Administrative Officer, GSSSIETW and Principal has congratulated the team for securing the award.
Dr Shivakumar M, Principal, GSSSIETW briefed that MTech (DCN) offers quality technical education to enrich technical knowledge in Digital Communication and Networking since its inception in 2013. Wide industry exposure has been provided and opportunities have been created to the students for carrying out internship and real time projects in reputed industries and government organizations.
MTech student Ayisha Tabassum, who is currently placed as Applied R&D Engineer in Nokia Solutions and Networks, Bengaluru has opined that the efforts of the college in connecting campus to industries has helped her achieve the dream of getting full time internship and the subsequent job in a networking industry.
She has expressed her gratitude to the Management, Principal, HoD, Placement Coordinator, PG Coordinator and ECE faculties for their constant support and motivation that helped her in balancing academics and full time internship during Masters.
Dr Rajendra R Patil, Professor and Head, Dept of ECE informed that MTech students are provided with state of the art laboratories including Wireless Communication lab with latest licensed software for carrying out quality projects.
The Post Graduate students have secured four VTU ranks including First Rank with gold medal secured by Venkateshwaramma during the year 2017, according to Mahanthesh U, Assistant Professor, Department of ECE, GSSSIETW Mysuru.
