Gundlupet BJP Councillor who flaunted Rs one cr betting amount raided

Gundlupete: Kiran, a BJP Councillor in Gundlupet who had placed his bet on BJP candidate C S Niranjan Kumar against the Congress’ H M Ganesh Prasad in crores was raided by the police on Friday.
In a video released on Friday morning, Kiran was flaunting a huge stash of money, claiming his bet on Niranjan Kumar.
Gundlupet witnessed a charged battle between Niranjan Kumar and Ganesh Prasad through the elections.
Kiran had placed his bets on Niranjan Kumar and stake amount was a whopping Rs one crore.
Ahead of counting of votes on May 13, rampant betting incidents are being reported in many parts of the State. Several reports said that people are pledging their land, cash and money to place their bets and some even are doing it on a bond paper. Surely, this Assembly election results is keeping everyone on toes.
