Hanging power cables pose threat at Bogadi ORR junction

1 min read

Mysuru: Tension prevails at Bogadi outer- ring road junction as power cables have snapped following a mishap.

The cables are suspected to have snapped after a vehicle, a car may be, hit an electric pole. Due to the impact, the cables are entwined and dangling vertically posing a threat to the passersby. The alert pedestrians are diverting the vehicles to avoid coming in contact with the cables.

Though the traffic density is less owing to restrictions in place in the wake of covid induced lockdown, what flags concern is the particular junction is known for construction related activities and labourers.

Moreover, the road connects to Halli Bogadi and other villages beyond, and also to the Srirampura ring road junction that leads further towards Manandavadi road. To the east is the Hinkal ring road junction that further leads to Mysuru- Bengaluru ORR junction.

As there is an exemption for particular category of vehicles mainly ambulance, essential goods movement and also private vehicles in emergency, it is better the cables are restored before it leads to something serious.
