Hopeful of hung assembly, Kumaraswamy ready to truck but with a rider

1 min read

Bengaluru: JDS leader and former chief minister H D Kumaraswamy is hopeful that there could be a hung assembly – as predicted by a few exit polls – hence has made the party’s conditions clear to whoever wants to have an alliance with the JDS.

The JDS is expected to win in at least 50 seats and the party will join hands with those who will agree to the party’s conditions, Kumaraswamy said before he left for Singapore for medical treatment.

And some of his conditions include that whichever party that will join hands with it will have to distance itself from Mandya and Hassan, that strongbase of JDS and portfolios of irrigation, energy and public works department should be given to JDS.

It may be recalled here that Kumaraswamy had an alliance with BJP in 2006 and with Congress in 2018.
