Hosur village bandh over D K Shivakumar’s arrest
1 min readMysuru: Villagers of Hosur in K R Nagar observed bandh by downing the shutters of shops on September 5.
The bandh was observed to protest the arrest of former minister D K Shivakumar by enforcement directorate, who have got his custody till September 13.
The villagers along with Congress, Janata Dal ( Secular) party workers and fans of Shivakumar assembled at hospital circle and blocked K R Nagar- Ramanathapura road.
They burnt used tyre in the middle of the road and raised slogans against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah.
The protesters alleged that Modi and Shah are indulge in vindictive politics against Shivakumar.
The traffic on the road was disrupted for 30 minutes.
APMC former president Rajegowda, Hosur Cooperative Society president H R Mahesh, GP members Bhaskar and H L Mahadev, former members Shivanna, H J Ramesh, Manjunath and Raghavendra, Manju, Ravi K Mahadev and Yashwanth, Manohar, Raitha Sangha Suresh and Kitta took part in the protest.
