Hubballi-Dharwad Central: Shettar loses to BJP’s Mahesh Tenginkayi

Hubballi: As expected BJP turn coat Jagadish Shettar who had contested on Congress ticket in Hubballi-Dharwad Central Assembly constituency lost to BJP’s Mahesh Tenginkayi. Mahesh won with 34,289 votes margin.
Speaking to mediapersons after the result, Shettar said that he respects people’s mandate. “Many had vowed to see my defeat and their dreams have come true. But even they have lost in the State,” Shettar said.
He further said that although he was deprived of the ticket, he took it as a challenge. “I am not upset for my loss. But those who conspired against me have defeated BJP in the State,” he said.
BJP’s insult to Lingayat community led to their defeat in Mumbai Karntaka, Kittur Karntaka and Kalyana Karntaka, he observed.
“Inspite of BJP government in both Centre and State, the BJP has suffered badly,” he added.
