In Gujarat BJP leads; it’s Congress show in HP; AAP fails to strike hard

New Delhi: BJP is all set to form the government for the consecutive seventh term in Gujarat, while Congress appears to make a comeback in Himachal Pradesh.
According to the latest results of the assembly elections, the counting of which is underway, BJP has been leading in 150 of the total 182 seats in Gujarat. While Congress is leading in 20 seats, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in six seats and four others.
Congress is leading in Himachal Pradesh with 37 searts crossing the magic number of 38 against the total 68 seats in the Assembly. The ruling BJP is leading in 27 seats and others in three.
On December 1 and December 5, elections were held in two phases in Gujarat.
Two decades of BJP rule is also set to break all the previous records in Gujarat.
In 1985 Congress had won record 149 seats which now appears to be bettered by BJP crossing 150 seats, with results awaited.
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) that is still celebrating its stupendous victory in the elections of Municipal Corporation of Delhi where it ended 15 years rule of BJP on Wednesday, got a chance to portray itself as the national party as per the election commission of India norms.
The Arvind Kejriwal led party however made all the efforts to emerge as a strong contender to BJP in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s home state, but failed to make an impact.
