In two days, Mysuru zoo loses a tiger, king cobra
1 min readMysuru: A day after eight animals were brought to zoo under animal exchange programme two have died.
A tiger and King cobra have died in quarantine according to a press release from executive director, Sri Chamarajendra Zoological Gardens.
The King cobra died of liver ailment on February 29 and tiger due to heart attack on March 01.
The Mysuru zoo authorities had brought animals under animal exchange programme from Pilikula Biological Park, Mangaluru on February 28. A pair of tiger, lesser whistling teal, monitor lizard and two pairs of King Cobra had been brought under the programme.
The organs of the animals will be sent to laboratory for further verification, the release added.
