International Art Meet concludes in Mysuru with over 50 stunning artworks

Mysuru: The International Art Meet, organised by Swasti Contemporary Art Gallery in collaboration with the HCG Foundation, I Am 2024, Itsy Bitsy, IHDUA and Bharath Hospital and Institute of Oncology (BHIO), concluded successfully on Saturday at the BHIO premises.

The event, held between November 14 and 23, brought together Indian and international artists who created over 50 innovative artworks, captivating visitors with their vibrant colors and compelling themes.

Bhagya Ajaikumar, Director of Swasti Contemporary Art Gallery, highlighted the dedication of the foreign artists from Argentina, Germany, Malaysia, Lithuania, Montenegro, Romania and Taiwan.

“During their stay, the artists produced exceptional works across various styles, including abstract art, realism, still life, and nature-inspired pieces. Their commitment to their craft was commendable,” she said.

The artworks will receive an exclusive preview in Bengaluru on November 24 before being displayed at the Swasti Contemporary Art Gallery starting November 25.

The month-long exhibition offers art enthusiasts a chance to admire and purchase these creations.

Proceeds from the sales will go to the HCG Foundation, helping cancer patients in need of medical assistance.

Dr B S Ajaikumar, Chairman BHIO was also present.

Among the international participants, Ute Faber from Germany showcased a vibrant Mysuru landscape, predominantly in orange.

“The color symbolises power and energy, reflecting the essence of Mysuru. I feel privileged to contribute to a cause that supports cancer patients,” Faber said.

She also expressed admiration for Indian culture, which deeply inspired her work. Dr BS Ajaikumar was also present.

Renowned Indian artist Babitha Das, doctors from BHIO Dr Srinivas, Dr Sowmya, Gowtham Dhamerla, COO of BHIO, were also present to support the initiative.

The meet not only celebrated art but also demonstrated its power to bring people together for a noble cause, leaving an indelible mark on the Mysuru art scene.
