On three previous occasions since the start of lockdown, the South Western Railway Officers’ Association, Mysuru Division, as a goodwill & humanitarian gesture, had lent a helping hand by distributing more than 100 grocery kits to licensed luggage porters working in the station to tide over the difficult situation.
Last week, Mysuru Division, in collaboration with South Indian Bank, had made arrangements for distribution of over 80 ration kits to daily wage earners at the station.
Aparna Garg, Divisional Railway Manager, South Western Railway, Mysuru Division thanked the members of the Jain Samaj for once again rising to the occasion through this noble and humanitarian service which has come as a big relief to the economically weaker section of the society.
Garg expressed hope that more and more such voluntary help would be forthcoming till the situation becomes normal.
