Jamboo Savari to begin with Nandidhwaja Puja at Balarama gate of Palace

Mysuru: Jamboo Savari will officially commence with the Nandidhwaja Puja at the Balarama entrance of Mysuru Palace, between 1:44 pm and 2:10 pm.

This traditional ritual will mark the start of the majestic procession from the Palace to Bannimantap.

The Nandidhwaja, led by Sri Gowrishankara Nandidhwaja Sangha led by Udigala Mahadevappa, will act as a pilot for the entire procession. The Udigala Mahadevappa’s troupe has upheld this legacy for decades, ensuring meticulous selection of bamboo and adherence to traditional rituals during the Nandidhwaja Puja.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar, Kannada and Culture Minister Shivaraj Tangadagi,l and District Minister Dr H C Mahadevappa will offer their prayers during the ceremony.

Following the puja, the Chief Minister will deliver a customary message to the State.

Later in the day, between 4 pm and 4.30 pm, a special flower offering (Pushparchane) to the Ambari (Golden Howdah) inside the Golden Howdah on the elephant will take place.

CM Siddaramaiah, DCM D K Shivakumar, District Minister Dr H C Mahadevappa, Deputy Commissioner G Lakshmikanth Reddy and Police Commissioner Seema Latkar will offer flower petals to the idol of Goddess Chamundeshwari, marking a key moment of the Jamboo Savari.
