Kannada, Kannada, Kannada! Mass rendition of hit songs marks launch of ‘Kannadakkagi Navu’ campaign

Mysuru: Kannada songs touched the sky with the mass rendition of hit songs highlighting the cause of the land, language and culture on Thursday.
Hundreds of college students sang and danced for Kannada songs, at“Kannadakkagi Naavu” a unique campaign organised to mark Karnataka Rajyotsava celebration celebrated every year on November 1.
District administration, Kannada and Culture Department and University of Mysore had Jointly organised Kannadakkagi Naavu campaign at Oval grounds opposite Crawford Hall, the administrative office of University of Mysore.
Three songs protocol designed by the state government- Naadageethe, Kuvempu penned Baarisu kannada Dindimava and poet Nisar Ahmed’s Jogada Siri Belakinalli, Huttidare Kannada Naadalli Huttabeku written by music director and lyricist Hamsaleka for Dr Rajkumar starrer hit film- Akasmika were recited in mass.
Mysuru -Kodagu MP Pratap Simha, MLA L Nagendra, DC Dr Bagadi Goutham, ADC BS Manjunathaswamy, Zoo authority of Kanrtaka Chairman L R Mahadevaswamy and MUDA Chairman H V Rajiv, Kannada and culture assistant director H Channappa, Rangayana director Addanda Cariyappa and others were present.
ADC B S Manjunathaswamy pronounced Kannada usage oath.
Hundreds of college students mainly girls with Kannada flag in hand shook their legs, along with lecturers.
On demand, song “Huttidare Kannada Naadalli Huttabeku” originally sung by Rajkumar was rendered twice.
University of Mysore Fine Arts College students and popular singers also performed on stage.
