Karnataka Bandh! City cops instruct building owners to draw safety net around their structures
1 min readMysuru: The city police have instructed the owners of of buildings especially those in commercial areas to take precautionary measures during Karnataka Bandh on Monday.
According to a copy available with Mysoorunews.com ” Devaraja police have issued notice instructing the building owners to draw safety nets around their structures to avoid any damages, in the wake of a bandh call given by farmers and various trade unions”.
Meanwhile Hotel Owners Association which has extended moral support to the bandh, has decided not to suspend business for the day.
Association president C Narayan Gowda has stated “the hotel industry that has incurred huge losses due to Covid-19 is still returning to normalcy. Most importantly Hotel industry comes under essential services. It is also our prime duty to prepare food for Covid-19 patients, Corona Warriors like police, doctors, nurses, Asha workers and pourakarmikas. Hence we can’t shut shop due to bandh”.
However we have been always encouraging farmers by buying their agricultural produce, he stated.
The restaurants, bakeries and sweet shops will also be open, added Gowda.
