Karnataka elections: Karnataka voter turnout stands at 65.69 per cent until 5 pm
1 min readBengaluru: Despite the weather threatening to dampen the spirits of voters in Karnataka, voters turned out in good numbers to cast their votes on Wednesday. By 5 pm, the total percentage of voters was logged at 65.69 per cent throughout the State, as per the Election Commission. The percentage may go up with still one hour to go for polling.
Although, it began slowly in the morning, the pace quickly picked up, registering 50 per cent around 3 pm.
In Mysuru, the total percentage of voter turnout by 5 pm was 66.70 per cent. However, neighbouring district, Mandya registered a good voter turnout by accounting for 75.90 per cent.
As the polling time has closed now, the total percentage is yet to be declared
