KPCC President D K Shivakumar condemns ED raids on Zameer Ahmed Khan

New Delhi: KPCC President D K Shivakumar on Thursday condemned enforcement directorate (ED) raids on Congress MLA B Z Zameer Ahmed Khan in Bengaluru.
Calling it as a harassment targeting a section, irrespective of community or whatever, misusing ED, Shivakumar said “Our party MLA is capable to face the law.”
Zameer Ahmed Khan himself had apprised that he was summoned by ED earlier over a property dealing. Now, after two years, what was the necessity to raid Zameer? questioned Shivakumar, who said ” I know how ED is used in these cases.”
Turning the tables on BJP, Shivakumar said when MLA Srinivas Gowda himself made a startling disclosure in the floor of the house that he was lured by Rs five crore with a promise of Rs 30 crore more, why didn’t the investigation agencies probe into it?
It was said that Ramesh Jarkiholi sold his house for Rs nine crore for an ulterior motive, then where were these investigative agencies like IT, ED and ACB? questioned Shivakumar.
Are all the BJP MLAs and their dealings clean, asked Shivakumar, who refused to take further questions on ED and its style of probe.
