Last rites of Thimmaiah performed! Son-in-law D K Shivakumar, several Congress leaders among attendees

Mysuru: The last rites of Thimmaiah father-in-law of KPCC President D K Shivakumar was performed at the farm on Chamappaji road in Tavarekatte at the foothills of Chamundi on Wednesday.
Thimmaiah (Papanna) who was popularly known as ‘Seegepudi’ Thimmaiah for the soapnut factory he was running was a resident of Ittigegud in the city.
84-year-old Thimmaiah was admitted to Bengaluru Apollo Hospital due to age related illness and passed away around 4 PM on Tuesday.
He is survived by his wife Lakshmi, son Sathyanarayan, daughters Usha Shivakumar, Anitha Shashikumar and Suma Ranganath.
D K Shivakumar, KPCC spokespersons M Lakshman and Manjula Manasa, former MLC D Madegowda, former MLA M K Somashekar, Hunsur MLA HP Manjunath, former mayor T B Chikkanna, AICC spokesperson Aishwarya Manchanahalli Mahadev were prominent among those who took part in the funeral.
