Lockdown! Six Kannadigas from Mysuru stranded in Qatar

Mysuru: Six Kannadigas are stranded in Qatar since two months and are waiting to reunite with their families in Mysuru.

Basically, native of Pakshirajapura village in Hunsur taluk, Subrahmanya, Jyothi, Gopi, Chandrakanth, Kumar and Meena had gone to herbal oil mela in Qatar in March. However, even before the mela began, lockdown was announced and they had no means to return.

However, with much difficulty, they contacted Indian Embassy and appealed them to be airlifted. Fortunately, the Embassy officials have contacted Qatar Kannada Sangha’s Subrahmanya Hebbagilu and informed him about the stranded Kannadigas.

Now, the Qatar Kannada Sangha and the Indian Embassy are working out ways to deport them.
